Bruce Lee (Part 1)

Bruce Lee (Lee Jun-fan; 27 November 1940 – 20 July 1973) was a Chinese American Hong Kong actor, martial arts instructor, philosopher, film director, film producer, screenwriter, and founder of the Jeet Kune Do martial arts.

Lee was born in San Francisco  but was raised in Hong Kong until his teens ages. Lee traveled to the United States at the age of 18 to get his U.S. citizenship and receive his education. It was during this time that he began teaching martial arts, which moved to film and television roles.

Thanh Tuong, 1999 "The drawing of Bruce Lee". Drawing. New York. Available from: http://daisoaidhtv.wordpress.com/nh%E1%BB%AFng-ng%C6%B0%E1%BB%9Di-kh%E1%BB%95ng-l%E1%BB%93/ly-ti%E1%BB%83u-long-2/ [23 Nov 2011].
The largest influence on Lee's martial arts was by studying Wing Chun. Lee began training in Wing Chun at the age of 13 under the his teacher Yip Man in 1954, after losing a fight with rival gang members. After a year of studying Wing Chun training, most of Yip Man's students refused to train with Lee after they learnt of his ancestry (his mother was half Chinese and half Caucasian) as the Chinese were against teaching their martial arts techniques to non-Asians.

  1. Good start! This post was supposed to have at least 3 pictures so you could practice citing them though. In the one citation you have, you need to put a comma between the first and last name and a full stop at the end of the name instead of a comma, add a full stop after 1999 and to write the word "Accessed" before the last date in brackets. So it should look like this:
Thanh, Tuong. 1999. "The drawing of Bruce Lee." Drawing. New York. Available from: http://daisoaidhtv.wordpress.com/nh%E1%BB%AFng-ng%C6%B0%E1%BB%9Di-kh%E1%BB%95ng-l%E1%BB%93/ly-ti%E1%BB%83u-long-2/ [Accessed 23 Nov 2011].

Do you think the blog you got the drawing from is the original source? Did you try to find the original source?

Also, be sure your posts are at least 200 words long.
